Doug, I took your suggestion and I am very happy I did. Today was the first day since my lesson that I was able to get in a round of golf. What a pleasant surprise. I took 5 to 6 strokes off my game and I owe it to absorbing my mental analysis and your clear and concise golf lesson... Just thought you would appreciate some feedback from a very grateful student! Doug, We enjoyed our  family vacation at Palmetto Dunes.  My family of six returned to New Jersey well rested and much improved golfers.  I feel your teaching techniques and approach to my children are at the top of your industry.   My children range in age from 8 thru 14 and doubled  their interest in golf  in one week.  You made teaching and learning fun for all of us.   I  am a 10 handicap and have seen many golf instructors and feel many could learn from you. Thanks for all of your help last week Doug, we had a lot of fun.The golf instruction was one of the best parts of the trip, and I thought the short game II class was the best of all of them.To be honest I was just about ready to give golf before I came down to Hilton Head. I am at least encouraged about my game after the lessons. We plan on coming back next year.

This past summer I had the pleasure of attending a two day golf school at Palmetto Dunes with Doug Weaver as my group instructor. The two day school turned into four days of instruction, by my choice, because of the quality instruction I received. Doug's enthusiasm, expertise and positive motivation gave me an incredibly rewarding experience on two levels.

On one level, I learned a great deal about the game of golf, a game I have been playing off and on for 45 years! As a direct result of Doug’s instruction my game has improved and perhaps even more importantly, my understanding of why my game has improved has grown as well.

On another level I enjoyed my experience as a student in Doug Weaver's classroom. I have been a public school teacher for 35 years and there's nothing more rewarding for me, a professional educator, than to be in the presence of someone who can teach effectively. Doug naturally integrates high level teaching strategies with positive motivation and strong interpersonal skills making the golfing experience enjoyable, rewarding, and memorable. I would have been happy to walk away from golf school with a few good tips. I received plenty of those and a good deal more! I walked away with admiration for a master teacher who happens to be a great golfer.

I am looking forward to this year's summer trip to Hilton Head and another opportunity to meet old friends and make some new friends at Palmetto Dunes Golf School.

I took a private lesson with Doug Weaver while vacationing at Palmetto Dunes this past April. Even though it was a very busy time on Hilton Head with the Heritage PGA tour event, and I called Palmetto Dunes last minute, Doug made me feel comfortable and welcomed me enthusiastically to the Trent Jones course teaching facility. He made me feel like I was the most important person he had seen that day! He made two simple corrections to my golf swing and I was amazed at the instant improvement. I started with the Ladies Golf School and Doug kept it so simple and effective. My game has really improved from that point on by returning to the class again and also doing a private with my husband who improved as well. The European Spa Massage certificate is an excellent way to communicate relaxed golf.

While on vacation, I decided to take a private lesson at Palmetto Dunes.  I signed up with the Assistant Pro - Alex Magowitz.  Alex watched me hit a few balls and made improvements on my swing.  In addition, he explained the way the ball flight travels and within a very short time I was hitting the club much better.  After the private lesson, he wrote down a few drills that I could do in my backyard.  I was so impressed with him that I took another lesson on the day before I went home which went as well.  

I cannot wait to go out with my golfing buddies and show the new improved me.  I thank you for the direction and Alex for all the help he has given me.  Hopefully on my next vacation to Hilton Head I can take another lesson from.
