The Palmetto Dunes Golf Academy, a leader in providing quality golf lessons, instruction and support, offers nine distinct programs for golfers from age 12 to adult. Eleven teaching pros, some of whom are former PGA Tour professionals, provide hands-on instruction to golfers with varying levels of proficiency.
These are some of the best golf instructors in the sport. They are wonderfully skilled, proficient in their sport and exceptionally patient teachers. Private golf lessons are available from an assistant professional, head professionals and the director of instruction. In addition, the Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort presents a daily golf clinic featuring the stroke of the day at the Robert Trent Jones Course. With a student-instructor ratio of 6:1, the clinic emphasizes individual attention.
Former PGA Tour player Doug Weaver, the golf resort's highly regarded director of instruction, manages the Hilton Head golf academy and supervises all instruction. Golfers also may take advantage of "The Custom Fitting Experience," a free swing evaluation and club fitting.
