After the Assessment, Palmetto Dunes Golf Academy is offering a Coaching Package starting at $495 per student, that is a long term development program for the 5 Areas of Golf that lowers your scores. Choose Doug Weaver or Canadian Michel Dion to be your instructor/coach.
Led by PD Dir. of Instruction Doug Weaver and Canadian Michel Dion.
For the Assessment Package, $295 per person, you will be assessed in these areas and your golf game will be benchmarked and progress can be observed:
- The mental dimension of the game will be measured and your personality traits identified. Your profile will provide action steps on you how to optimize your personality in your golf game.
- A video swing analysis will identify swing patterns and create a practice plan for creating repeatable a dependable mechanics.
- Short game testing will reveal strengths and weaknesses and show you where 65% of your game comes from and how to decrease those shots.
- Equipment assessment will take place on the driving range with the opportunity to compare your clubs to the latest offerings from Titleist, Taylor Made, Callaway and more.
- Your fitness assessment will measure, balance, flexibility, hand, forearm, leg and core strength. The recommendations when followed will increase valuable club head speed and stamina resulting in more consistency, higher energy levels and more distance therefore lower scores.
The Coaching Package is a long term development program that develops the 5 Areas of Golf that lowers your scores, a tested and proven method of developing golfers to reach their personal goals for golf. Choose from:

Doug Weaver, Golf Digest 2011 Top Golf Instructor in the South Carolina, former PGA Tour Player and perennial top PGA Competitor at the age of 52, competed in 2 US Opens and studied golf under many great instructors including David Leadbetter and Davis Love II. Doug Has played, practiced and competed with the top players in world including Tom Watson, Vijay Singh, Payne Stewart.
Michel Dion, born in Granby, Quebec and All Pro Hockey Goalie for in the NHL, with the Nordiques 78-81, Pittsburgh Penquins from 81-84. 1984 till now Michel pursued playing golf with an intense passion by studying golf under David Leadbetter. To gain experience for playing he competed professionally and caddied for Doug Weaver in many Professional events including the 1993 US open where they held the lead temporarily.
