Welcome to Palmetto Dunes Kids Activities! Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort, renowned as one of the world’s best family vacation destinations, proudly offers our new selection of family activities at Palmetto Dunes for fun in the sun for children of all ages. The summer fun starts here!

From first graders to active teens, Dunes Kids makes sure that everyone has a chance to enjoy the natural beauty of one of the most pristine beachfront resorts in the world. Supervised summer activities run from June through August, offering children ages 6+ the opportunity to experience the very best of Hilton Head Island. All trained camp counselors are certified in CPR and First Aid.

Golf

Palmetto Dunes Junior Clinics -"Fun, Friends and Fresh Air"
Instruction in the basic fundamentals of the golf swing, course etiquette and rules.

Palmetto Dunes Junior Golf Academy
This five-day program is the perfect learning environment for all skill levels.

Advanced Junior Playing
Play with the pro and learn at the same time.

Little Swingers
Learn the fundamentals of golf while singing songs causing amazing retention and success.

Junior Tees/Instruction
Permanent Junior Tees are a feature of the newly redesigned Robert Trent Jones Golf Course. Private instruction is available from the resort's PGA professionals.

Special Junior Pricing
Juniors, ages 17 and under, may play for $50, including tax. All juniors must have a valid driver's license to operate a golf cart.

Tennis

Short Shot Clinic, Ages 4-5
Combines tennis fun with motor-skill development

Super Shots Clinic, Ages 6-8
Focuses on more-thorough instruction on each stroke. Emphasizes instruction and fun activities.

Junior Stroke of the Day
Beginner to Intermediate, Ages 9-17
Students learn a new stroke every day. Instruction emphasizes consistency and control.

Junior Tennis Camp
Beginner to intermediate, Ages 9-17
While focusing on enhancing stroke development and production, juniors participate in a variety of fun games and activities.

Junior Round Robin Tournament, Ages 9-17
Test your skills against juniors from around the world.

Junior Grand Slam, Ages 9-17
Features tournament-level players. Teaches important concepts and key drills for the competitive player.

Boating & Fishing

Boat Tours
Everything from lunch with the dolphins to fireworks-watching excursions.

Palmetto Dunes Outfitters
Catch and Release Inshore fishing on two-, three- and four-hour fishing and/or nature trips through the protected lagoon at Palmetto Dunes.

Sport Crabbing on the Crabber J
Join the crabby crew on a sport-crabbing adventure. After the crabby crew unties, the boat motors out to the calm waters of Broad Creek, where it anchors next to the salt marsh. Everyone fishes for the sly and cunning blue crab. It's all catch and release - just for fun - but the crabby crew keeps score and whoever catches the most crabs wins the world famous Crabber J tee-shirt.

Surf School
Learn to surf on the beach at Palmetto Dunes. All classes are offered by Palmetto Dunes Outfitters.

Family Ski Day
Cruise from Shelter Cove marina to our favorite ski grounds and learn to water ski or gain confidence on a kneeboard or wakeboard. The full package includes transportation from Shelter Cove Marina to a secluded patch of water for private instruction for all ages and skill levels. A more relaxing option is three hours of tubing.
