We understand that pets can be an integral part of the family and we want your dog to be able to join you on your Hilton Head vacation. Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort now offers a limited number of vacation rental properties that are dog friendly between October 1 through March 31 for an additional charge. No pets are permitted in any of the vacation homes between April 1 through September 30. Please keep in mind that our pet policy only allows dog with a maximum weight of 40 pounds and other restrictions may apply.
Service animals are permitted year round at our Hilton Head resort with proper notification and appropriate documentation. We appreciate your cooperation with this policy.
The following are the Town of Hilton Head's restrictions regarding pets on the beach:
- Pets are not permitted between 10 am and 5 pm Friday before Memorial Day through Labor Day
- Pets must be on a leash: -Between 10 am and 5 pm April 1 through Thursday before Memorial Day
- Pet waste must be removed and properly disposed of at all times
-Between 10 am and 5 pm Tuesday after Labor Day through September 30
-Pets must be on a leash or under positive voice control during all other times
