eGolf Amateur Tour Championship
October 22, 2010 - October 24, 2010. Now entering into its 16th season, the eGolf Amateur Tour returns to Palmetto Dunes in October for 54 holes of play. Last year, 550 players from around the country registered for the tournament at Palmetto Dunes, bringing more than 1,000 visitors to Hilton Head Island. The tournament, which has grown in popularity over the years, became the largest golf event ever held on the island. “The Tour provides everyday golfers a chance to compete like the pros,” says Dennis McCormac, founder of the eGolf Amateur Tour. “You don’t have to be a scratch golfer to join the eGolf Amateur Tour. It is the Tour for the rest of us.” The eGolf Amateur Tour is open to amateurs of all ages and abilities. Members are placed in one of five flights based on handicaps. Flights are: Championship (0-3.9 handicap), A Flight (4-8.9), B Flight (9-13.9), C Flight (14-18.9) and D Flight (19 and up).
