HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. -- In support of local police, fire and rescue personnel, Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort will host its 2nd Annual Appreciation Day on Wednesday, August 10 from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m., as well as donate $1 per round played on resort golf courses for 33 days beginning Wednesday, August 10.
The Appreciation Day is open to Beaufort County Sheriff’s Department and Beaufort County Fire & Rescue, along with their families. First responders and their families can select from a whole menu of free activities and enjoy free golf at the George Fazio course. Other free activities include bike rentals, kayak rentals, tennis and pickleball. The day will conclude with a celebratory reception at the Palmetto Dunes Club.
For locals who want to show their support and #BackBeaufortBlue, a hashtag the resort has created for the event and beyond, Palmetto Dunes will donate $1 for each round played at their three award-winning golf courses, including the Robert Trent Jones, George Fazio and Arthur Hills courses. The 33 Days of Donations will run from Wednesday, August 10-Sunday, September 11 and monies will be donated to the Beaufort County Emergency Services sheriff’s office and firefighters in support of their charities.
