Terry Davis is the new general manager for the resort’s Robert Trent Jones golf course, while the resort’s catering operation, Dunes Catering, has hired Brian Obermeyer as sous chef and Olivier Plantadis as catering manager.
Davis, originally from the South Carolina upstate, has worked in golf at a variety of country clubs for more than 15 years. When not in the kitchen, he enjoys golf and water sports.
While born in Vancouver, Plantadis, who will take over as catering manager for Dunes Catering, spent most of his childhood on Hilton Head Island where he honed his cooking skills in the family’s kitchen. He is co-owner of Midnight Bakery in Bluffton and spent time working for Chick-fil-A, Tubby’s Tankhouse in Savannah, and Sonic Drive In.
