Robert Trent Jones Course
A lagoon winds its way through more than half the holes on this golf course and the par-5 10th reveals an inspiring view of the ocean. A fun and challenging round for players of all levels.

Arthur Hills Course
The Hills course has hosted collegiate golf tournaments with players such as Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and David Duval in their college years. Play where these golfing legends honed their skills!

George Fazio Course
A challenge to accomplished golfers and the only par 70 on Hilton Head Island, the Fazio course has often been regarded as one of the island’s true championship golf courses, and features a series of long par 4s guarded by bunkers and water hazards.

Toptracer Range
Guests can experience interactive golf, cool drinks and great food at the Toptracer Range located at the Robert Trent Jones course. The main focus at the practice range remains meeting the needs of golfers on the tee sheet to warm up before their round. The Toptracer Range technology will only be activated when golfers opt in and pay the additional fee for that service.

The Palmetto Dunes Golf Academy in Hilton Head is recognized as one of the world’s leading golf schools. It offers lessons, clinics, and private instruction from former PGA Tour professionals and experienced coaches, with programs designed for every age and skill level. Under the leadership of Doug Weaver, the team creates an approachable and enjoyable learning experience.
Golf Lessons
The Academy presents a daily golf clinic at the Arthur Hills Golf Course, featuring special instruction on the stroke of the day. With a student-instructor ratio of 5:1, you can be sure to get the individual attention you need from one of Hilton Head’s leading golf pros.
Golf Pros
If you’re serious about improving your game, a private lesson with one of our pros is the best way to lower those strokes. One-on-one lessons are 50 minutes, and are the fastest way to focus on your individual needs.

Stop in any of the three Golf Pro Shops at Palmetto Dunes before or after your round to make sure you’re properly equipped to play, or to just enjoy a little retail therapy.

Big Jim’s BBQ, Burgers, Pizza & Catering
Big Jim's offers a relaxed dining option for families, golfers, and Hilton Head Island residents and visitors alike. With outdoor seating overlooking the Jones course, it’s the perfect spot for a tasty bite while you watch other guests hit the links.
Arthur Hills Grill
Arthur Hills Grill presents a choice of breakfast or lunch served indoors or on the patio overlooking the Arthur Hills driving range. Select from a full menu of soups, salads, sandwiches and burgers, as well as full bar service.
George Fazio Grill
The popular grill located in the George Fazio Clubhouse, serves a variety of sandwiches, snacks, and beverages. Dine-in or take them out on the course.

No. Golf carts are prohibited throughout Palmetto Dunes, except when being used on the golf courses. Private golf carts are also prohibited within the resort.

All three Palmetto Dunes golf courses are open to the public.

Rental club sets are available for men, women, and juniors at all three Palmetto Dunes courses. 18 Hole Rental is $65 and $35 for 9 holes. Palmetto Dunes offers 2025 SRIXON ZX 4/5 (men) and 2025 Cleveland XL Halo (women) for rentals.

Junior rates are available for young golfers. Juniors ages 10 and under play for free after 4 p.m. when accompanied by a paying adult, with a limit of one free junior per adult (1:1 ratio). Additional juniors ages 10 and under beyond this ratio will be charged the applicable junior rate.
Juniors ages 11–17 are eligible for junior rates. Junior rates are only available when tee times are reserved over the phone or in person.
Juniors must present a valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart—no exceptions.

There are two open-to-the-public driving ranges in Palmetto Dunes Resort: the Toptracer Range at the Robert Trent Jones course and a traditional driving range at the Arthur Hills Golf Course. The George Fazio course does not have a driving range, and guests are encouraged to use Arthur Hills. Advanced reservations are highly recommended for Toptracer Range and can be made online at www.PalmettoDunesToptracerRange.com. Chipping and putting practice areas are located at each course.

Tee times are required to play golf in Palmetto Dunes. Current available tee times and best rates are available online 24 hours per day. Tee times may also be made by calling 866-380-1778, but internet rates are not available to call center staff. Palmetto Dunes will do its best to accommodate walk-in golfers.

Golf attire is required on all three courses. For men, collared shirts and structured shorts or pants are required. Women should consider tops appropriate for golf/tennis, shorts, pants, or athletic skirts and dresses. Dress for the weather. Be comfortable and wear a hat. Tennis shoes are adequate; running shoes are not designed for golf. No denim, cut offs or men’s tank tops.

Palmetto Dunes offers discounts to active and retired service members. Mention the military discount at booking and present a valid military ID at check-in. Discounts apply only to tee times booked no more than 24 hours in advance.

The Palmetto Dunes Golf Academy offers year-round lessons and instruction for golfers of all ages and skill levels. Director of Golf Instruction Doug Weaver hosts a free exhibition every Monday at 4:00 pm at the Jones course. To learn more about lessons and clinics please go here.

Non-player riders are welcome and must pay a nominal fee of $25. The fee covers access to facilities and golf cart usage.

The most convenient airport to Palmetto Dunes, only a short 10 minute drive, is the Hilton Head Airport (HHH). However, many of our guests fly in to the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV), approximately 45 minutes from Hilton Head Island, due to the larger number of servicing airlines and flights. The Arthur Hills and George Fazio courses in Palmetto Dunes offer 9 hole rates after 2 p.m. The Robert Trent Jones course does not have a 9-hole rate due to the configuration of the golf course.
9-hole rounds are not available to book online. Please call 866-380-1778 to make a reservation.

Notice of cancellation or reduction of players must be received at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled starting time or there will be a cancellation fee charged to the credit card provided above. In the event of inclement weather, the cancellation fee may be waived however a courtesy call is appreciated. If you need to cancel or modify your tee time, you must call reservations at 866-380-1778 at least 24 hours before your tee time to avoid a payment penalty.

The Robert Trent Jones course greens are Champion Bermuda, the Arthur Hills course is Tifdwarf Bermuda, and the George Fazio course is Diamond Zoysia.

In addition to three championship golf courses, guests can enjoy three miles of beach, biking around the resort, kayaking or canoeing on the 11-mile lagoon, world-class tennis and more. Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina, located directly across from the resort, features waterfront shopping, dining and water activities plus in-shore and off-shore fishing charters. Palmetto Dunes also offers private vacation homes and villa accommodations.

The Palmetto Dunes Golf Academy used the V1 Coaching System, an industry leader available in the Class A and director of instruction private lessons, 3 hour classes, one day schools and multi day schools. Bring your own smartphone or camera. We can make it a great tool for golf improvement.

All three golf courses are 18-hole championship layouts. Each course is suitable for all golfers and offers a variety of tee options, including junior and senior tees. For beginner golfers or families with young children, Palmetto Dunes recommends trying 9-holes at Arthur Hills or George Fazio. Robert Trent Jones does not offer 9-hole rounds.

To provide the best selection of available tee times, Palmetto Dunes requires guests to secure tee time reservations with a credit card. Your card will not be charged when the reservation is made, but you are subject to a payment penalty if the reserved tee time is missed or the number of players is reduced without at least 24 hours of advance notice.
