Off-Season Dog-Friendly Vacation Rentals in Hilton Head
Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort now offers a number of vacation home and villa rental properties that are dog-friendly.
Our Pet Policy
Vacation home and villa rental properties that are dog-friendly are available between October 1 through March 31 for an additional charge. No pets are permitted in any of the vacation homes between April 1 through September 30. Our pet policy only allows one dog per rental unit with a maximum weight of 40 pounds. Other restrictions may apply.
Service animals are permitted year round at our Hilton Head resort facilities. We appreciate your cooperation with this policy.

Pets on the Beach
The following are the Town of Hilton Head's restrictions regarding dogs on the beach:
- Dogs are not permitted between 10 am and 5 pm Friday before Memorial Day through Labor Day
- Dogs must be on a leash:
-Between 10 am and 5 pm April 1 through Thursday before Memorial Day
-Between 10 am and 5 pm Tuesday after Labor Day through September 30
-Dogs must be on a leash or under positive voice control during all other times - Dog waste must be removed and properly disposed of at all times
