Palmetto Dunes named “Pickleball Resort of the Year”
Palmetto Dunes named “Pickleball Resort of the Year” by Racquet Sports Industry Magazine. Resort’s Director of Pickleball Instruction Sarah Ansboury named “Pro Member of the Year.”“Palmetto Dunes has 24 lighted pickleball courts and one of the most comprehensive instructional programs on the East Coast,” wrote the publication in its November/December 2020 issue.

In the November 2019 issue of Golf Digest, in homes and on newsstands now, the venerable magazine ranks the “Best Teachers in Every State” as voted on by their peers in the golf instruction industry.Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort on Hilton Head Island is pleased to announce that its longtime Director of Instruction, former PGA Tour professional Doug Weaver, was ranked as the second-best instructor in the state of South Carolina.Read more about this award here.
Shelter Cove Marina Recently Certified Clean Marina
Shelter Cove Marina was recently given the "South Carolina Clean Marina Certification" by the National Marine Manufacturers Association.Clean Marina programs are voluntary programs run by many states in coordination with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The National Marine Manufacturers Association in South Carolina administers the South Carolina Clean Marina Program. It inspects a variety of categories such as boater education, facility management, fueling, mechanical activities, painting and fiberglass repair, and emergency planning. In its report, the committee recognized Shelter Cove Marina for its impressive educational materials provided to boaters.

LINKS Magazine recently selected the World’s Top 25 Golf Islands and Hilton Head ranked No. 7 on the auspicious list.LINKS said Hilton Head enjoyed the “Biggest Selection of Accessible Courses.”“More than two dozen to choose from, at every price level,” the magazine wrote of Hilton Head, “and most of them with plenty of available tee times.”
