The Town of Hilton Head has restrictions regarding pets on the beach:
- Pets must be on a leash between 10 am and 5 pm: April 1 - Thursday before Memorial Day and Tuesday after Labor Day - September 30
- Pets must be on a leash or under positive voice control during all other times
- Pet waste must be removed and properly disposed of at all times
- Pets are not permitted between 10 am and 5 pm Friday before Memorial Day through Labor Day
