Golf has always been a game of precision, patience, and passion, and now, thanks to technology, it’s also a game of instant feedback and endless fun. At the Toptracer Range at Palmetto Dunes, located at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course, we’ve reimagined what a day at the golf range can be. Whether you’re a beginner picking up a club for the first time or a seasoned golfer fine-tuning your swing, Toptracer gives you the tools and data to make every shot count.
What Makes Toptracer Different
Toptracer uses state-of-the-art camera technology to track every shot you hit and display real-time data on your personal screen. You’ll see your ball speed, launch angle, carry distance, and curve, just like the pros do on televised tournaments. Each swing produces instant results, helping you understand what’s working and what needs tweaking.
At Palmetto Dunes, you’ll find 14 hitting bays equipped with this technology, plus a private lounge bay for up to 10 guests. With comfortable seating, shade, and food and drink options, it’s an experience that combines practice, play, and all in one.
A Game for Every Golfer
One of the best parts about Toptracer is that it adapts to every skill level:
- Beginners love watching their progress in real time — it’s rewarding to see improvement from one bucket to the next.
- Casual golfers can turn practice into play with fun game modes like Closest to the Pin or Points Game.
- Low-handicap players get access to precise analytics for distance control and shot dispersion.
Play Virtual Courses from Around the World
Dreaming of Pebble Beach or St Andrews? With Toptracer’s Virtual Golf feature, you can “play” legendary courses from your bay. Compete with friends, keep score, and enjoy the same thrill you’d get halfway around the world, without ever leaving Hilton Head Island.
Practice That Feels Like Play
Unlike traditional golf ranges, where repetition can get monotonous, Toptracer brings excitement back to practice. You can compete against friends, track your scores over time, and even connect with other players via the Toptracer Range App.

Private Bays for Groups
