Top Dawg Tavern & Pizzeria debuts at Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (May 2024)— Top Dawg Tavern, a family owned and operated casual dining restaurant, has expanded its fifth location in Hilton Head to Top Dawg Tavern & Pizzeria. Known for its fresh food, great value and upbeat atmosphere, Top Dawg Tavern & Pizzeria offers guests waterfront views, covered pet-friendly patios, tons of TVs and now pizza! The restaurant is open for lunch & dinner, seven days a week at Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina.

Renee and Brett Summers dreamed up the idea of creating the perfect place for them to grab a bite to eat, have a drink and enjoy time together with friends and family. They wanted a gathering place for everyone that was casual, yet comfy; welcoming and most importantly FUN! Being die-hard sports fans, it also needed to be a place to watch all their favorite sports. And that is how Top Dawg Tavern was born. Top Dawg Tavern’s first restaurant opened on March 4, 2013 just outside Athens, Georgia. Through the years, they expanded and opened six restaurants in several southeast communities.

Brett and Renee have spent many years vacationing on Hilton Head Island with their daughter Genevieve and they were thrilled to open Top Dawg Tavern in July 2021. “When the opportunity to expand the current restaurant became available, it was a no-brainer,” Brett said. The expansion is the first Pizzeria concept for the family business. One feature that sets Top Dawg Tavern & Pizzeria apart from other restaurants is their dedicated ‘Lil Dawg House (kid’s room) with an interactive gaming floor, chalk board wall and bubble machine. Top Dawg Tavern & Pizzeria now has two great menus to serve its guests.

Top Dawg Tavern & Pizzeria also offers lunch and dinner to-go and delivery via DoorDash and Uber Eats.

Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina is located across Hwy. 278 from Palmetto Dunes Resort and is easily accessible by car, bicycle or even local trolleys during the season.
